Naw Ruz Celebration BE 159

This year's Naw Ruz party was a big success as we went back to the seventies and relived some of the magic of Saturday Night Fever and hippie chicks. DJ Rowland's music quickly got us into the mood despite the rigours and fatigue of the Fasting month. The seventies outfits worn by some of the more daring individuals greatly added to the atmosphere of the night.

The readings were on the theme of harmony and peace resonating with the spirit of Australia's National Harmony Day, March 21st.

Highlights of the night included dancing to such seventies classics as YMCA, My Sharona, Night Fever and Eagle Rock, as well as an all age limbo competition which was won by young amateur Tom Bushnell.
